Brooks Pepperfire Foods Inc. fills a niche demand for fresh chili pepper products within the worldwide hot and spicy food industry. We create innovative, spectacularly flavoured, and healthful to organic food products which have a socio-economic conscience.
BPFI’s established market is the discriminating consumer with a need for truly hot and spicy foods, that are made with high quality fresh ingredients. The Peppermaster brand is the “Champagne” of the hot and spicy food industry.
Pepperfire specializes in developing hot and spicy recipes for the Hotel, Restaurant and Bar industry and in contract packing (copacker) for the specialty food industry. We also offer private label and white label services for other industries.
We are a full service copacker and contract manufacturer offering marketing and test marketing services. Our services include ingredient sourcing, tracking and licensing for Fair Trade certification through TransFair Canada and TransFair USA.
Our facility is peanut free, wheat free and bleach free.
Our executive chef has 20 years' experience in specialty food consultation, 15 years' experience running a world class international style restaurant and 44 years' experience in working with and selling chili peppers.
Through agreements with several experienced and talented designers we also offer solutions including package design.
Our customers include restaurants, bars and food companies as well as mainstream non-food related corporations. Although we specialize in offering services to small batch customers, our flexibility gives us the ability to pack for small and large customers.
Our signature line, Peppermaster Barbecue, cooking, grilling and finishing Sauces are the brainchild of our Peppermaster, Greg Brooks.
To support our local economy and community we purchase fresh chili peppers and other ingredients locally when in season. Specialty chili peppers such as the Naga (raja mirchi), the Red Savina, the Goat Pepper, Fradiment Da, as well as the less exotic orange and red habanero, the scotch bonnet, jalapeno, and many others, are imported directly from farmers, on the open market and through licensing agreements.
Holding licensing agreements with chili farmers and mash producers worldwide, Pepperfire imports fresh red hot chili peppers from the furthest reaches of the planet. Because of this expertise, in January of 2007, Pepperfire was given a mandate by TransFair Canada, the Canadian Fair Trade licensing board, to create a previously non-existent market for Fair Trade chili peppers.
The Peppermaster brand currently holds the distinction of producing the only two Fair Trade certified Hot Chocolate Sauces; Chili Chocolate and Chocolate Passion. In addition to these, Brooks Pepperfire Foods currently has 8 different products currently certified with TransFair.
Brooks Pepperfire Foods currently supplies several stores, restaurants and bars in North America and is actively looking to establish new contracts both domestically and internationally.
In 2006, Pepperfire upgraded their kitchens in order to expand their private labelling operations. Whether you are in need of recipe development, packaging consultation or you need someone to simply help you bring your product to market, Pepperfire can help.
